1st be VERY careful whom you train with! Make sure they're not someone who just worked out a little, got in shape (maybe) took a online weekend course and now they are a "trainer". Look at the type of certification & experience they have. Your health & safety is at stake. We call it " Bro science" or " Cosmo intelligence " & that is NOT where you want your trainer getting their information from. You'd be alarmed by the horror stories of trainers who just do not know what they are doing. They put their clients in serious harm or risk because of their lack of experience, knowledge or even care to get a legitimate education. Cost varies not just because of location, but because of credentials. There are far too many meatheads in the industry with a weekend cert. ,posing as experts (a great body does not, make/equal a good trainer). Look for a trainer with real education in the field (B.S./M.S. etc.) and an NCCA cert. If you're looking for real results, knowledge plus experience, it will cost more. I offer multiple rates/plans for clients, I also offer multiple services (Personal Training, Massage Therapy, Post Rehab, Corrective Exercise, Martial Arts, etc.). I have 25+yrs. in the industry (B.S. Spots Med., L.M.T., C.P.T.,...etc.....Currently pursing a Doc. Degree). My rates may be higher, but my education also leads my clients to expect more from me.....and they should. If you're looking for something for nothing, that's exactly what you can expect to get. Starr is an awesome trainer! First off, I want to say that I was skeptical even considering a female boxing trainer to begin with but quickly found out she knew her stuff and I got a kick but drenching sweat work out every time. I went into training with a goal to lose 20lbs and have since lost 16lbs in just three weeks... I'm going to dedicated myself to her training to maintain even when I reach my goals, she is fun, energetic and an excellent coach. Give her a shot, no one can ever regret her super energy.

I have been working with Edye for 2 1/2 years now. She trains group women boot camp classes year around at GMU & Good Shepherd Church in Fairfax. Edye's classes are fun and she promotes camaderie among the clients, but don't let her niceness fool you, she motivates, challenge and keeps me accountable. Her manta is on form, classes are small and she is very personable. she is cutting edge, teaching flexibility thru line dancing and core/arms with hula hoops! She even had a bookclub meeting for us to all read "younger next year". She keeps it fresh and even though I work hard, I look forward to the workout! The group training makes it cheap! Starr, fitness trainer is so awesome! She is always high energy and a great motivator every time. She works hard to make sure you achieve your goals and get results. She trains you hard and keeps you disciplined. I feel stronger and leaner and have lost 25lbs in the first 5 weeks with her boot camp and one on one cardio-boxing. I have alternated with my sessions going from training in a gym to the outdoor runs/boot camp and her cardio boxing classes which she also does one on one sessions. Johnnie is a great trainer. He is very focused and listens to me. He has been helping me in my weight loss journey and I have lost a total of 27 pounds in 8 weeks. He gave me a life fitness plan which includes eating right as well as working out. He made sure that I was able to follow the plan. If I had any issues he worked with me and adjusted the plan. Leyla has taught me everything I need to know about how to maintain my diet, what body parts to work out when, and even what supplements to take in order to stop the soreness! 10 minutes of core and stretch prep work, and the rest is heavy circuit training. Original agreed upon price was $35 per hour session, but then my trainer tossed in a 3rd day of boxing technique and training for free, which effectively brought my real prices down to $23 per hour.
